Facilitation and consulting

Steve has brought his consulting and facilitation skills to many organizations, helping their people to solve complex problems, understand and communicate better with others, and resolve conflict productively.

Often organizations require assistance at an individual or small group level rather than a larger training or speaking environment. In these situations, Steve has successfully consulted and/or facilitated solutions at every organizational level, from CEO to hourly staff. Using his highly developed interpersonal skills, combined with his extensive education and experience in human thought and behavior, he is able to relate well to and maintain credibility with all parties, even those on opposite sides of an issue. His clients know him to be a patient, thoughtful, and trustworthy listener, who is also not afraid to ask difficult questions when necessary to increase understanding.

Steve has earned this reputation because he continues a practice he learned in his graduate philosophical work at Oxford. Namely, that he has to be able to state another's point of view even better than they themselves can before he has the right to lead them to consider a new way of looking at a situation. Using this approach, Steve has been able to resolve team conflicts, improve communication across organizational levels, and coach individual managers to improved levels of performance.
